If anyone knows how to have a good time, it’s Kait Park. Raised in Toronto, Canada and now East London resident, Kait is a feel-good lifestyle content creator who serves as a welcome reminder to stop, slow down and enjoy the city we live in. We paid a visit to her flat for a bowl of warm soup-y noodles on her rooftop garden.

It really feels like you live the city to its fullest potential - is Kait Park the 21st century answer to the modern Londoner?

I think if I claim to be a “Londoner” I will get cancelled hahahaha

Do you prefer cooking on camera or off camera, how do the two differ?

I probably shouldn’t say this, but definitely off camera. It’s tedious having to film yourself slicing tomatoes, and there’s so much more pressure when you know things have to look a certain way. Plus, Murphy’s Law!! Everything be going wrong as soon as that tripod is out.

Off-camera feels way more fun because you can go off piste and you don’t need to follow a brand approved recipe, womp womp womp. 

Is hosting important to you, do you often have friends over for dinner?

I host loads, but I only invite the person back if they take their shoes off inside, bring a bag of ice, and don’t fall off my roof.
